Note : About the upgrade from windows 7 : Windows 10 is not activated (Microsoft no longer is giving the windows 10 upgrade or activation for free.

I have seen windows 10 with coa on ebay for around 45.00. I think that may activate your windows.

The computer will work but the annoying un-activated watermark will show and some personal preferences may not be available, until activated.

You could also just run Linux Ubuntu or Windows 7 operating system.
