DOCS SMART LIL GALLO, 6 Year Old Bay Gelding **VIDEOS, text or message me*
"Manny" is a well bred, well started young ranch gelding. I bought him right off the mare as a weanling, halter broke him and then eventually started him under saddle the spring he turned three. He went right to light work riding on calving heifers and has been in the regular rotation on a big cow/calf and yearling outfit ever since. Gradually getting more appropriate tasks and longer days each year. He has tagged calves, sorted pairs, gathered big country and worked in a corral setting. He doctored calves all last winter and handled it very well and is really learning how to work a rope and quietly ease through the herd to get some slow type pot-shots. When something needs lined out he is still learning how to automatically hunt those sweet spots for both ends but is definitely making great progress each time out. He has shown a really good mind with time off, saddling up and riding off nice and quiet. While he has done many tasks on the ranch he does need some more repetition and seasoning in certain areas. Manny stands around 14.2hh and weighs around 1000 lbs. He is stout and cinches deep, with a lot of substance to his legs and good hard feet. He rides around pretty well one handed, though I will break down to two hands to continue to clean up and refine certain movements. He knows his leads, side passes to open gates, is starting to turn around better and is a very natural stopper. I've been riding him in a traditional hackamore for two years, snaffle before that. He could easily go back to the snaffle or be progressed into another bit. This is a very nice young ranch gelding with a solid foundation and a bright future. If interested, call/text for further questions or to chat to see if he'd be a good fit for you. Thank you for your time.
